About

The Pastoral Council is a consultative group to our Pastor that meets nine times a year. The Council monitors the overview of parish life through reports from our Pastor, our parish’s Operations Manager, and Youth Ministry representatives. In addition, the Pastoral Council supports and/or initiates projects that support the wide community interests of St. George and/or charitable works. We represent the entire Parish and welcome St. George parishioners to attend meetings, and/or place an item on the agenda, with notice to the President. All our minutes, member list, and updates are posted on the St. George website. The function of the Pastoral Council is to build bridges for a healthy communication between the pastor and the laity of the parish community. The Council provides opportunities to deepen our partnership for a more active lay involvement in the parish. Valuing the knowledge, resources, and contributions of its members, the Council advises and assists the Pastor in the administration and development of spiritual and material matters of the parish.  Please feel free to explore our meeting minutes on the St. George/Pastoral Council tab.
