As a ministry of hospitality, our ushers often greet parishioners, guests and visitors to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere before and during Mass. Ushers seat people when needed, and arrange for the gifts to be brought to the altar; they manage the collection and assist with any unexpected situation during Mass.
